@GiaG80 The DNA database has been used since 1984 and DNA was used to convict Colin Pitchfork of murder years before this stupid porn film.
It was quite obvious that Catherine was the murderer, considering it was Sharon Stone’s body in the opening scene.

DNA was not being used in criminal proceedings in 1984. If anything, it was just starting to be used in the late 80′s. This is obviously not your type of film if you are going to be analyzing the film that way. It’s meant to be alluring and mysterious. Part of the point of the script was to keep it a mystery as to who killed the guy in the beginning, regardless of scientifically what may seems to be.
